IESF-OM CODIGE Prize 2024 for Best Master Thesis bagged by Richmond Crisostomo
We are proud to announce that Richmond Crisostomo, a doctoral student with the Bernstein Center Freiburg, was recognized for his master thesis from the University of Montpellier, France. His work entitled "Eco-evolutionary Dynamics from Estimation of Strain Abundances in the Human Gut Microbiome" was awarded the 2024 IESF/OM-CODIGE Prize for Best Master's Thesis in the Fundamental Research category.

Several cortical mechanisms have been proposed to explain the neuronal basis of short-term memory; however, the community has not reached a consensus yet. A recent publication in Hippocampus reports that hippocampal activity contains information about past behavior in brief sporadically spread, time intervals.
